The Best Way to Lose Fat and Get Muscle

So you want to drop fat and gain muscle but your really not sure whats the best way to get started? This a question many many Americans might ask themselves on a daily basis and I'm going to give you a quick guide on how to turn your body into a Fat Burning Furnace!

Step 1. Nothing is more important than changing your state of mind. You must have a complete "mind-shift" in regards to your body and what your willing to do to get whatever results you want. Just know that whatever your goals are its POSSIBLE. Its already been done before no matter how bad you think your specific situation is. There have been and will always be people that are fatter or have more obstacles that they had to overcome than you and they did it. Knowing that should give you some peace of mind because now you realize that it is totally up to you. Whether you get serious about looking great again or you keep buying workout dvds from infomercials and letting them collect dust, you have total control and thats a GOOD thing! Having said that lets get more specific.

Step 2. Quality of food you eat: Focus on unprocessed foods, as close to their natural state as possible. Unprocessed foods are more nutritious and easier for your body to digest and work with. This simple change can make a big difference to your fat-loss efforts. A good rule of thumb is you don't want to make a habit of "drinking your calories". Obviously water is great but if your like me and you have to drink something besides water when you eat you can get those packets of Crystal Light or anything similar. They usually have only about 5 calories, they taste great and its even cheaper than buying a Diet Soda when you eat. You should also just keep a water bottle with you at all times and take swigs of it throughout the day. By the time your day is over you will have gone through 2 or 3 refills and not even realized it. Again its VERY important to eat good quality foods. It's usually cheaper than grabbing fast food everytime your hungry and obviously better for you.

Step3. Quantity of meals: The goal here is to turn your body into a Fat Burning Furnace. The absolute best way to do so is to eat small meals on a consistent basis. People tend to think this is time consuming but I usually only eat 2 meals per day that I have "prepared" the rest are fruit, protein shakes and granola bars. When you constantly feed yourself your body literally turns into a furnace because it has to continue to work to burn and utilize that food you've given it. Eating 2 huge meals a day is about the worst thin you can do because your body is sedate between those time periods.

Step4: Resistance Training, notice I DID NOT say "Cardio". Resistance training is a much much more effective way to lose fat and build muscle than cardiovascular training. Again, when you use RT your body has to continually work and it the muscles are much more stimulated when you utilize this form of exercise. I would suggest getting "workout bands" if you don't have all the time in the world to go to a gym. 2-3 days a week I use workout bands and get just as good a workout if not better. You can always "You Tube" routines using work-out bands.

Step5: Cardio: Cardio can be a good thing but lose the treadmill and stairmaster. Again, the goal here is to turn your body in to a Fat Burning Furnace. The only way to do that is to continue to stimulate those muscles. For some reason, women are just about married to "the machines"! Its about the worst form of cardio because after a few weeks your muscles get used to the same "up and down" motion. The most effective way of ding cardio is to do it in short but aggressive stints. Running as fast as you can for 20 yards or shadowboxing burns 2x as many calories and fat as the treadmill. The goal is to keep your muscles "guessing", you always want to have a surprise attack on them so they never get used to one particular thing and stop growing.

In conclusion, these are 5 simple but effective steps for The Best Way to Lose Fat and Get Muscle. Follow these steps and you'll turn that body into a fat burning, muscle building machine in no time. The most important thing is to TAKE ACTION!!! Don't continue looking online for some special pill (its not out there). Like I said its ALL in your mind. Its been done before and it will be done again by others who have a much harder path than you do so its up to YOU YOU YOU!!!
